Welcome to enjoy the sauna sessions offered at the farm.

To ensure that your stay goes as smoothly as possible, please read these instructions carefully. When you make a booking, you commit to complying with these instructions.

Your reservation becomes valid once you have settled the payment based on an advance invoice by the due date. Companies may, by prior agreement, receive an invoice after the service.

Duration of the sauna sessions can be seen in the price list. Start time is mutually agreed when booking the service. Cancellations must be made at least 7 days before the booked session by phone. Unfortunately, cancellations by email cannot be accepted. The hostess may at times be so busy that she cannot read emails every day. For cancellations made less than 7 days in advance and for no-shows, the full price will be charged and we are not obliged to refund the customer.

Arrival address: Pentinlahdentie 34, 71200 Tuusniemi. If you cannot find us, please call +358 50 436 1921 and we will guide you in.

Parking for cars is in a designated area as directed by the hostess. From the farm there is a 300 m walk along the edge of a field down to the saunas by the lake. Please stay on this route and do not enter the hay field or the animal pasture.

Both saunas have separate changing rooms. In case of private groups, changing rooms are not pre-assigned for men and women. The group members agree among themselves, how to divide the spaces. For public sauna sessions, these changing rooms are marked separately for men and women.

A dry toilet is available next to the saunas. Please kindly use the toilet and do not relieve yourself elsewhere. In summer, there is an outdoor handwashing option; hand sanitizer is available in the toilet year-round.

In addition to the sauna, the price includes bench covers. Drinking water is available. Please bring your own towel and optionally your own drinks. We recommend bringing separate footwear to walk between the sauna and the lakeshore, in case you go swimming or take a plunge in the ice-cold water in winter.

There are no showers in the saunas: washing is done using washbowls.

We want to keep Lake Juojärvi clean in the future as well, so you are not allowed to detergents in the lake.

Non-alcoholic refreshments and small savory snacks are for sale at the farm.

Consuming alcoholic beverages in moderation is permitted during sauna sessions.

Both changing rooms have waste bins and separate containers for empty bottles. Smoking is permitted only outdoors in a specifically designated area around the saunas.

Please treat the buildings, outdoor areas and lakeshore correctly. It’s not permitted to break off branches from trees or bushes, e.g. for making a sauna whisk.

Parents are responsible for any damage caused by their children, and the pet owners are responsible for any damage caused by their pet.

As a customer you are liable for any intentional or unintentional damage you cause. The hostess has the right to charge you for such damages.

We reserve the right to make changes to or cancel the service at short notice due to force majeure. Such circumstances include, for example, winter temperatures below –30°C, or illness of the hostess or animals. In such cases we will attempt to arrange a new date for the service as soon as possible. If we cannot find a new mutually suitable time, we will refund the advance payment to the customer.

In these cases, we are not responsible for any disadvantage or damage that may have been caused to the customer.

Pets

Several dogs and cats live at our farm and move about freely, and animal enclosures may be right next to the saunas, so kindly comply with the following instructions.

It´s strictly forbidden to feed the animals of the farm. We are not accountable for any damage that may occur if a customer enters the animal pasture or hay field without permission given by the hostess.

If you may bring a dog or cat with you to your sauna visit, please inform us in advance when making the booking. Dogs and cats are welcome in the outdoor areas on a leash. Pets are not allowed in the changing rooms or saunas. Please clean up after your pet outdoors, and do not allow them to urinate on any buildings.

Please bring your own water bowl for your pet. You can take water from the lake or from the sauna taps. We hope your pet’s vaccinations as well as parasite and tick preventatives are up to date.

Unfortunately, we cannot allow pets at public sauna sessions. In addition, please note that we do not have any facilities for them. We do not accept leaving them in cars in hot weather during your sauna visit.
